ABOUT US

Croatian Resuscitation Council was founded od May 21st 2002. Its founders are sixteen specialists of anesthesiology, internal medicine, cardiology, pulmology, pediatrics, neurology, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, intensive care medicine and emergency medicine physicians. Founding of the Council was supported by following societies of Croatian Medical Association: Croatian Society of Internal Medicine, Croatian society of Intensive Care Medicine, Croatian Society of Pediatrics, Croatian Society of Traumatology, Croatian Society of Family Physicians, Croatian Society of Neonatology nd Croatian Society of Clinical Pharmacology.
An agreement on formal cooperation with European Resuscitation Council (ERC) was signed on September 2nd 2002, thus authorizing Croatian Resuscitation Council for education in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, translating and printing educational materials and presenting ERC certificates.

Main goals of the Council are: standardization, education, audit and improving of all segments of survivalchain, organization of professional and scientific activities, promoting the importance of cardiopulmonary reanimation. More on goals...

Like ERC, Croatian Resusicitation Council has workgroups:
1. Advanced Life Support workgroup (ALS)
2. Basic Life Support with Automated External Defibrilators workgroup (BLS-AED)
3. European Pediatric Life Support workgroup (EPLS)
4. Advanced Traum Life Support workgroup (ATLS)
